What To Expect

Each cottage comes equipped with a starter supply of bathroom tissue, facial tissue, paper towel, bed linens, bath/hand/face towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap and dish soap.
Complimentary coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper are also provided.
We recommend that you bring: groceries / beverages, beach/pool towels, additional paper supplies to complete your supply once the initial supplies have been depleted.
Please note, there is no restaurant on-site; all meals will need to be brought into the Legacy Cottages or delivered through pre-arrangement.
Think Safety: PFD's are supplied for water activities, but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

Check-in time is 4:00pm.
Check-out time is 10:00am.

Washing machine, dryer, standard kitchen appliances (including fridge, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, blender, as well as cooking and serving utensils). All cottages are equipped with a BBQ and at least one Smart TV.

Cottages are cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure; cleaning in the interim is your responsibility.
Stayover cleaning service may be available during your stay (at an additional fee) – contact us for more details.

Cottage country abounds with small weekly farmers' markets and vintage country stores.
Foodland in Port Carling for major groceries (12-15 minute drive).
Field of Greens in Port Carling for gourmet, high-end staples and prepared meals (10-12 minute drive)
Other options include:
Minett Convenience Store (walking distance).
Silver Stream Farms in Port Sandfield (open seasonally May to October).
Rosseau General Store for pre-prepared and fresh-prepared foods and a small selection groceries.

Swimming from the dock or our private beach area.
There are kayaks and stand up paddleboards (SUPs) with Personal Floatation Devices for adults and children.
All other watersports are available by rental from local suppliers. Please contact our team (reception@legacycottages.ca) for more details.
Please contact the our team for boat slip information if you intend to bring your boat or rent a boat during your time at Legacy Cottages.
Non-motorized watercraft of all kinds are welcome. Please contact us for storage and docking information.

Pet policies are individual to each cottage. Please ensure the cottage you select is pet-friendly. If you are in doubt please contact us at reception@legacycottages.ca prior to making your reservation and we are happy to assist.

North on Hwy 400 to Barrie; at Barrie take the 400 extension towards Sudbury (do not take Hwy 11 - longer route).
Continue 400 North to Exit 189: ON-69 toward MacTier/Gravenhurst.
Merge onto Lake Joseph Rd (5.6 km) then turn right onto Muskoka 169 (signs for Gravenhurst/Port Carling/Bracebridge/Highway 169): 9.3 km.
Turn left onto Muskoka 118 W (signs for Regional Road 118/Port Carling/Bracebridge), 4.7 km.
Turn left onto Peninsula Rd/Muskoka District Road 7 (signs for Regional Road 7/Rosseau).
Continue for 10.5km, and Legacy Cottages at Lake Rosseau will be on the right.
